This information collection is approved for three years, subject to the following terms of clearance: 1. Within 3 months of approval of this information collection, the agency shall provide to OMB a percentage breakdown of major service activities (e.g., primary care, case management, social support) financed by the individual Ryan White Titles. Within 3 months the agency shall develop a plan for routinely obtaining and providing to OMB such data. Within 6 months of approval of this information collection, the agency shall provide updated data from the FY 97 grant application cycle. Within 1 year of approval of this information collection, the agency shall imple- ment a plan and timeline for routinely obtaining and providing to OMB these data. 2. Within 1 year of approval of this information collection, the agency shall consult with the White House AIDS Office and OMB in the development of performance measures which reflect the mission priorities of the program. 3. Upon resubmission, the agency shall address in its justifica- tion the ways in which it has attempted to streamline the data collection in the interests of reducing burden and providing information that is more useful to the program and to grantees. 4. Upon resubmission, the agency shall address in its justifica- tion the ways in which the instrument supports the collection of performance measures, including, but not limited to: how Title I and II funds have reduced in-patient hospital expenditures for Medicaid; the extent to which eligible patients are receiving preventative services (i.e., treatment with Prophylaxis for PCP); the extent to which Title I and II are reaching their target pop- lations (i.e., low-income populations which are most affected by HIV/AIDS). The agency shall also address efforts undertaken within the data collection to provide unduplicated counts of clie nts and to provide estimates of the average length of time patien ts are enrolled in State AIDS Drug Assistance Programs.
