Extension without change of a currently approved collection
Information on these private aids to
navigation applications is essential for safe navigation, as
outlined under 14 U.S.C. 83 and 85 and 33 CFR 66 and 67. Such vital
information as the aid's position, characteristic, and description
is provided in these applications. The Coast Guard reviews the
application to ensure the private aid to navigation appropriately
marks the associated hazard or waterway. The Coast Guard also uses
information from these forms to advise the public of new, and
changes to existing, private aids to navigation.

the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
