NIDRR provides financial support for projects to carry out research, demonstration, and related activities. In order to receive support from NIDRR, eligible entities submit applications as part of a competition. Applicants include information in their applications setting forth how they propose to accomplish the purposes of the project and to administer the grant. The following entities are eligible for an award under this program: States; public or private organizations, including for-profit organizations; institutions of higher education; Indian tribes and tribal organizations.
