Abstract: Marine mammal stranding reports provide baseline information on marine mammal mortalities, human interactions, and population dynamics. The Agency uses the information to fulfill its management responsibilities under the Marine Mammal Protection Act. The information is submitted primarily by volunteer members of the marine mammal stranding network who are specifically authorized by the Agency.
