The SSIG Program uses matching Federal and State funds to provide a nationwide system of grants to assist postsecondary education students with substantial financial need. State agencies use this performance report to account for yearly program performance. The Department uses the information collected to assess the accomplishment of the program goals and objectives and to aid in program management and compliance assurance.
