Abstract: To protect park resources and values from internal mineral development, the NPS requires prospective operators to submit proposed plans of operations to the NPS for review and approval. The plans cover the life of operations including reclamation. They are a one-time submittal that can be revised. No annual reporting required. Operators equal 1/3 medium to large publicly owned companies and 2/3 private entities.
