The information is to be used by
Customs offers to provide numeric descriptions of imported and
exported merchandise which will result in claimants receiving their
drawback refunds faster. The Customs Modernization Act mandated the
Drawback Compliance Program, which is voluntary, and will inform
potential drawback claimants and related parties about their rights
and obligations under the drawback laws and regulations. Reduced
penalties are available for claimants once a party has been
certified for the program.
