The cost burden estimates were changed to reflect the correct order of magnitude. The FCC shall evaluate Comment V. LECS Must Have at Least Six Months to Implement Accounting Rule Changes contained in the Petition for Reconsideration of SBC Communications Inc. filed on February 20, 1997. In this item, SBC cites a discrepancy between the Commission Report and Order (requirements and regulations take effect upon OMB approval, paragraph 286) and Section 220(g) of the Communications Act (requiring a six month wait prior to changing account structures and forms). The FCC should clarify this issue to the affected parties as soon as possible.
