In addition, OMB's comments dated 4/15/96 regarding private sector automation remain binding, and in the next three years, HCFA must commence dialogue on the acceptance of electronic signatures on CMNs (consistent with the development of such standards pursuant to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996.)
