The Benefits Accuracy Measurement (BAM) program provides reliable estimates of the accuracy of benefit payments in the UI program and identifies the sources of mispayments so that their causes can be eliminated. It does not measure the accuracy of decisions denying benefits and, therefore, is incomplete. This is an operational pilot to prepare for nationwide measurement of denials accuracy.
