Abstract: This form is used to determine the eligibility (under the GCA) of a person to receive a firearm from a Federal firearms licensee. It is also used to establish the identity of the buyer. The form is also used in law enforcement in investigation and inspections to trace firearms or to confirm criminal activity of persons violating the GCA.
