Some of the information is needed to
assure compliance with cargo preference requirements, Fly America
Act, and provide exceptions when justified; explanation of price
adjustments are used to assure that funds are properly credited and
host countries are notified of the adjustments; and documentation
requirements justify the payment of U.S. Government funds for
specific shipments. The information requirements are imposed on
suppliers of commodities and commodity-related services, and the
information in 201.51(c) is requested from banks holding letters of
commitment from USAID under which they pay suppliers.
