This program supports the development,
implementation, validation, and dissemination of model programs and
strategies to promote the safety of students attending institutions
of higher education by preventing violent behavior and the illegal
use of alcohol and other drugs by such students. Grant projects
will be funded which focus on validating approaches in two priority
areas: Correcting misperceptions of student alcohol and other drug
use by students attending institutions of higher education and
limiting student access to and availability of alcohol and other
drugs at institutions of higher education.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
