The Childhood Lead Poisoning
Prevention Program Quarterly Report collects information quarterly
on childhood lead screening and follow-up activities conducted in
the jurisdictions served by the 40 CDC childhood lead poisoning
prevention grant recipients. The respondents are the 40 State and
community health departments that have received CDC grant funds for
initiation or expansion of State and community-based childhood lead
poisoning prevention programs. Data reported to CDC is used to
describe the incidence of lead poisoning in areas covered by
reporting and to evaluate the effectiveness of the programs
receiving funding assistance.
