Abstract: The Federal Aid in Fish and Wildlife Restoration Act provide that grant funds are apportioned to States in accordance with a prescribed formula. One factor of the formula for each Act is the number of paid fishing/hunting license holders in each State. The Act requires the State fish and game departments to certify the number of paid license holders prior to the fiscal year for which the apportionment is made. Also required is information on hunting/fishing license sales. The license sale information is documented on the summary form.
