Abstract: The Coast Guard uses results of non-destructive testing (NDT) to evalute the suitability of older pressure vessel-type cargo tanks to remain in service. Once every 10 years, a pressure vessel-type cargo tank on a barge 30 years old or older would be required to be subjected to NDT.
