The information collected from U.S.
exporters or their agents through the Shipper's Export Declaration
Program is used to compile the official U.S. Government statistics
on U.S. exports. The statistics, along with U.S. import statistics,
are used to calculate the U.S. trade balance, a leading economic
indicator and part of the U.S. GDP compilation. The data are also
used extensively in U.S. trade policy decisions and to monitor
agreements.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
