The proposed data collection will obtain information on parental knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors of sun protection for their children. 1,125 parents will be interviewed by telephone. This information will be used in program planning for CDC's National Skin Cancer Prevention Education Program, which targets parents and children as childhood sunburns are associated with the highest risk of skin cancer.
