After
preparation of this ICR, EPA announced its intention to seek
authorization to finance part of the captial costs associated with
this ICR with federal funds. If approved by Congress, this federal
financing would lower the costs to states of the new fine PM
monitoring network described in this ICR, which amends the base
Ambient Air Quality Surveilance ICR. EPA will incorporate any
reductions to state burden that may result from federal financing
of new monitors into the renewal of the base ICR prior to March
1999.
