Section 73.3525 requires applicants in a comparative proceeding for a broadcast station construction permit, who enter into an agreement to withdraw, dismiss, or amend an application, to file with the FCC a joint request for approval of such agreement. In certain circumstances, the party proposing withdrawal would be required to publish a notice in a local newspaper. The data is used by FCC staff to assure agreement is in compliance with section 311 of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended.
