Abstract: Section 73.213 requires applicants to submit interference showings whenever modifying a grandfathered short-spaced FM station that directly relate to the impact such modification proposals have on other stations and the public. It requires that applicants serve a copy of the application on potentially affected parties. The showings are used by FCC staff to determine if the public interest would be served and that existing levels of interference will not be increased to other stations.
