The 1997 Economic Census covering
auxiliary establishments will measure the economic activity of
approxiately 48,000 establishments classified in NAICS. The
economic census, conducted under authority of title 13 U.S.C., is
the primary source of facts about the structure and functioning of
the Nation's economy and features unique industry and geographic
detail. Economic census statistics serve as part of the framework
for the national accounts and provide essential information for
Government, business, and the general public.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
