Abstract: The survey is needed to collect data on foreign direct investment in the U.S. to be used in the formulation of Government policy and will serve as a base from which balance of payments and financial and operating data collected in sample surveys can be expanded to universe estimates. Required for balance of payments, international investment, and national income and product accounts of the United States.
