Foreign fishing activities can be
authorized under the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and
Management Act (16 U.S.C. 1801 et. seq.). Collection of information
from permitted foreign vessels is necessary for enforcement by
allowing the monitoring of vessel activities and whereabouts in
U.S. waters. Reports are also necessary for fishery management
purposes to monitor the amount of fish caught or received by
foreign vessels.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies

1320.8(b)(3).
