Abstract: Apothecaries, pharmacists, and manufacturers of certain nonbeverage products may use and recover taxpaid alcohol in the manufacture of such products. The manufacturer then may claim drawback of the tax paid on the alcohol used. Records of the recovered spirits protect against duplication of claims or diversion of beverage use.
