Abstract: OERI requires that each program submit descriptive information and an abstract in order to be considered for review. This information will allow us to know if the program should be considered for designation of exemplary or promising status. The information submitted by the entity will serve as the basis for which the expert panel will judge the program according to the selection criteria for exemplary and promising. As a result of the comment, the Department of Education added a requirement, 701.4(b)(7), that adds approximately 15 minutes paperwork burden to each applicant.
