will be used to select the abbreviated vs. comprehensive NHHCS for
any given year. This description should also articulate how NCHS
will prioritize between provider surveys within set resources. OMB
must agree to NCHS decision process before the next NHHCS may be
fielded.

The National Home and Hospice Care
Survey will be conducted by personal interviews among a sample of
hospices and home health agencies about the patients they serve.
The survey will provide estimates of the characteristics of people
being served by hospices and home health agencies.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
