Under authority of sections 303 and
520 of the PHS Act, SAMHSA's Center for Mental Health Services
(CMHS) awards grants to institutions for traineeships in mental
health and related disciplines. The regulations specify the type of
area or entity in which trainees may satisfy their payback
obligation and the activity in which they may engage. The
recipients of clinical traineeships are required to submit the SMA
111 (which ensures agency receipt of a termination notice prior to
the end of support) and the SMA 112 (which is an annual report on
employment status and any changes in name...).
