The information from this focus group testing will be used for the development of a national survey which will measure the public's baseline knowledge of social security programs. The baseline knowledge will be used to measure the success of initiatives to improve understanding and is part of the requirement of the Government Performance and Results Act that agencies evaluate the effectiveness of their programs.
