Abstract: FERC-549 information is required by the Commission to ensure compliance with sections 311 and 312 of the Natural Gas Policy Act and part 284 of the Commission's regulations. The data are used to monitor and evaluate the legitimary of certain transportation and sales transactions, ensure just and reasonable or fair and equitable rates are charged for such transactions, and notify that transactions under part 284 have commenced.
