The final rule will require renovators of target housing to provide EPA's lead hazard information pamphlet to owners and occupants before beginning renovations for compensation. This rule will also require that renovators reveal the nature and extent of renovations in common areas of multifamily housing to occupants prior to beginning renovations for compensation. The rule was mandated by Congress under section 406(b) of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).
