Abstract: Broadcast stations and cable systems are requested by the FCC to voluntarily submit the EAS activation report. The data enables the Commission, the National Weather Service, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency to evaluate the efficiency and the effectiveness of their program to develop an operational capability for national, State, or local officials to use the EAS at the State and local level.
