In the attached MO&O, the CCB
clarifies requirements etablished in the payphone orders for the
provision of payphone-specific coding digits by LECs and PSPs, to
IXCs, beginning October 7, 1997. Specifically, the order clarifies
that only FLEX ANI complies with the requirements; requires that
LECs file tariffs to reflect FLEX ANI as a nonchargeable option to
IXCs; requires that LECs file tariffs to recover costs associated
with implementing FLEX ANI; and grants permissions and certain
waivers.
