Abstract: USCG is concerned over number of deaths related to lack of boating safety education and drownings due to not wearing PFDs. USCG consulted NBSAC in April 1997 and developed specific questions for public input on best way to reduce boater deaths and drownings, including questions on boater activities and experience to put comments in context.
