This information
collection is approved under the following conditions: 1) In
publishing the results of this evaluation, FNS will note that these
findings are not generalizable to all States, and are limited to
the individual States examined; 2) Given the lack of
generalizability, FNS will limit the number of States to eight;
3)FNS will send an advanced copy of the survey to all respondents;
4) FNS will conduct an analysis of the differences in perspective
on the impact of welfare reform on Food Stamp populations between
the State and local personnel interviewed; 5) If FNS does not
achieve the expected 100% response rate, the agency will report
this change to OMB; 6) FNS will also report to OMB if the number of
States or local offices in the planned design change. Given the
lack of generalizability outlined above, OMB notes that the
usefulness of these data for making policy decisions is also
limited.

under welfare reform.
