Abstract: The Fish and Wildlife Service collection of information on the status of threatened and endangered species reintroduced as "experimental populations" includes the Mexican Wolf in order to document the success of introductions conducted to achieve recovery goals. The Endangered Species Act of 1973 provides for use of experimental populations designations under section 10(j).
