Abstract: FCC's rules and regulations, part 11 Emergency Alert System (EAS) of 47 CFR requires broadcasting stations (FM, AM, and TV) must be able to transmit and receive at the national level EAS messages. Further, FCC's rules and regulations part 11.61 require participating broadcasting stations to test their EAS equipment on a weekly and monthly basis.
