Approved with
changes described in DOL memos of 9-1-98, 9-10-98, and 9-14-98. The
change of remuneration for respondents from $10 to $20 is not
approved due to a lack of evidence that the $10 level has led to
insufficient response rates Should DOL choose to address this
condition, DOL may either 1) provide additional evidence on the
need for increased respondent compensation to improve inadequate
response rates or otherwise enhance data quality or 2)develop a
proposal to test paying two different fees ($10 and $20) to
respondents and measure the response rates for each group.
