The STW Opportunities Act of 1994 directs the Secretaries of Education and Labor to evaluate progress made by States and local communities in establishing systems to promote effective school-to-work transitions. Information will be collected through surveys of local STW partnerships, case studies, and surveys of high school seniors. This submission seeks clearance for surveys of local STW partnerships and an 18-month follow-up student survey. Data collected will be used in reports to Congress and to others interested in school-to-work programs.
