This form will be used to apply DOJ's
revised regulations governing redress provisions for persons of
Japanese ancestry under the Civil Liberties Act of 1988 to make
eligible for payments of $20,000 two categories of persons: 1)
those persons who were otherwise eligible for redress but who
involuntarily relocated to Japan during the war and 2) those
persons who were born after their parents were evacuated or
interned from the military prohibited zones of the West Coast of
the U.S. as a result of military proclamation issued pursuant to
E.O. 9066.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
