The Commission has developed a new
FCC-305 application which streamlines the application process for
assignment of a MDS authorization. This new form will replace the
FCC-702 for facilities governed by 47 CFR part 21. The new FCC-305
will collect the information required to evaluate a proposed
assignee's qualifications to become a Commission MDS licensee. The
data is used by FCC staff to determine if the applicant is
qualified to become a Commission licensee or permittee and to carry
out the statutory provisions of section 310(d) of the
Communications Act of 1934, as amended.
