CCC is announcing the implementation
and availability of the American Indian Livestock Feed Program
(AILFP). Assistance will be made available to eligible livestock
owners, when as a result of natural disaster occuring on
reservations or other lands designated for Indian use, significant
loss of livestock feed has occurred and a livestock feed emergency
exists. Upon a request from eligible tribal authority, CCC will
consider approval of an area designation. An area will consist of
either aminimum 320,000 contiguous acres or the reservation. Direct
cash payments will be provided to eligible livestock producers,
