Terms of Clearance: Approved for use through 6/99 under the condition that HCFA resubmits QISMC for PRA clearance upon publication of: 1) an imminent final rule refining a subset of M + C requirements;and/ or 2) the Medicaid managed care rule. In this resubmission, HCFA must: 1) reevaluate the distinct burdens of QISMC on the states and the private sector; 2) provide a crosswalk between QISMC's standards and other private standard-setting groups, such as the NCQA; and 3) include any available to date, draft monitoring tools and guidance for QAPI projects.
