Abstract: This study evaluates the long-term effects of low and marginal toxic lead levels in neonates and preschool African-American children in the Atlanta area. The two components conducted concurrently are (1) prevalence of lead exposure in children of preschool age and (2) longitudinal health effects of low and marginal lead exposure.
