This collection of information allows
management of savings associations to exercise prudent controls and
to provide OTS with a means of determining the integrity of savings
association records and operations when examining of safety,
soundness, and regulatory compliance. The proposed change to OTS's
liquidity regulation would reduce the burden on thrifts in filing
the liquidity report by reducing the number and frequency of
balance computations.
