Terms of Clearance: This ICR is approved for two years. EPA agrees to submit future generic customer service questionaires for a 30 day OMB review. The protocol describes EPA's intention to report all levels of interest within specified population subgroupings. The results of the telephone survey are not generalizable to the population sampled unless the response rate exceeds 75 percent.

Abstract: This information collection request covers a voluntary program of activities to be implemented by EPA's Center for Environmental Information and Statistics (CEIS) over the next 3 years (FY 1999-2001). The CEIS was established in EPA's Office of Policy, starting in March 1998, to provide the public with a single, convenient source of EPA's information on environmental quality, status, and trends. In brief, CEIS compiles existing information from major EPA data bases and makes the information available to the public in plain English and in graphical, easy-to-use formats.
