Abstract: This proposed rule would permit producers of dietary supplements to include in the labels or labeling of their products health claims based on authoritative statements of a scientific body of the United States Government. The Agency has also recently issued guidance that would also be applicable to dietary supplements that provides information to the industry concerning the submission of notifications of a health claim or nutrient content claim based on an authoritative statement of a scientific body.
