In accordance with 5 CFR 1320, the information collection is approved for a period of 18 months. Upon resubmission, the Agency must fully describe all information collection activities, including those which the Agency deems to be usual and customary for respondents. The Agency must provide evidence that the usual and customary activities would be undertaken by respondents in the absence of the program. They should provide the names and numbers of at least three individuals/respondents who provided consultation on the determination of usual and customary activities.

The Emergency Loan Program is a direct loan program intended to help family farmers recover from natural disasters. Among the eligibility criteria, the suffering of a 30 percent production loss and an inability to obtain commercial credit are fundamental.
