Abstract: Electrical engineering regulations are necessary to promote the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) on USCG certified vessels. The Coast Guard is to review plans and procedures to determine compliance and evaluate necessary manning of automated vessels. Vessel designers, shipyards, manufacturers, and owners are affected.
