OMB's procedures for review of customer satisfaction surveys under
a generic clearance, OMB will review future CNCS submissions under
this generic clearance within 10 working days. Supporting materials
for CNCS submissions should contain at a minimum, a description of
the need for the information, a burden hour estimate, a cost
estimate for the Federal government, and any relevant statistiscal
methods used; specifically sampling methods and methods to maximixe
reponse rates. CNCS agrees to provide OMB in July of each year an
updated list of surveys under this OMB #. CNCS submissions will to
the extent possible, allow respondents to report through electronic
means.

To comply with Executive Order 12862
"Setting Customer Service Standards" (9/11/93) and the Government
Performance and Results Act of 1993 (GPRA), the Corporation will
conduct a series of customer satisfaction surveys. They will
measure the quality of service by Corporation staff and our
programs. Respondents will include: Grantees, subgrantees, program
participants, community residents, and other stakeholders.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
